FAQ
Your questions, answered
If your question is not here, call us. We would rather you ask now than wonder later.
Funding and eligibility
No. You can call us at any stage. If you are hoping to use government-funded support, an assessment through My Aged Care will determine what you are eligible for. We can explain the process and help you prepare, but the assessment itself is done independently.
Good Samaritan Home & Aged Care is newly established and our application for registration with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is in progress. We will update this page the moment that changes. In the meantime we are welcoming enquiries so care can begin as soon as we are able to deliver it.
Support at Home is the Australian Government's program for in-home aged care, replacing the Home Care Packages program and other in-home programs from 1 November 2025. It funds clinical care, help with independence and everyday living services based on an assessed level of need. Our Support at Home page explains it in plain English.
Please contact us to discuss your situation. Private arrangements may be available depending on the services you need and our capacity at the time.
Our services
We are based in Rooty Hill and serve Greater Western Sydney, including Blacktown, Mount Druitt, St Marys, Penrith, Seven Hills, Quakers Hill, Parramatta and surrounding suburbs. If you are outside this area, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Most visits are one hour or longer so that care is never rushed. Shorter visits can be arranged for specific tasks such as medication prompts.
We roster a small, consistent team for every client. You will see familiar faces, and if a regular carer is away we introduce the replacement in advance.
Yes, by arrangement. Tell us what you need and we will build a roster around it.
Our staff and safety
Every worker holds a current National Police Check, relevant qualifications, first aid, and completes our induction, including the Code of Conduct for Aged Care and the Serious Incident Response Scheme. Nurses hold current AHPRA registration.
Our Clinical Governance Lead, a registered nurse, oversees all clinical care, medication management and clinical risk.
Yes. Our team includes Tagalog and other community language speakers. Tell us your preference and we will match where we can.
Tell us straight away. We have a clear incident and complaints process, and you can also contact the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission at any time. See our Feedback and Complaints page.

Let's talk about the care you need
A short, no-obligation conversation with our Care Manager is the best place to start. We will listen first, then tell you honestly what we can do.
